These SMS Terms explain the text-message program offered by MoneyFAQ (“MoneyFAQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). MoneyFAQ is a free financial-education platform — we are not a lender, bank, or insurer. Our text messages are strictly transactional and account-related. We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Providing a mobile number is always optional, and you can stop messages at any time.
If you add a mobile number to your MoneyFAQ account and opt in, you consent to receive recurring, transaction-related SMS messages from MoneyFAQ. These may include:
MoneyFAQ does not use SMS for marketing, promotions, advertising, or offers from third parties. Your mobile number is used only to send you the transactional and account notifications described above.
Messages are not sent using an automatic telephone dialing system for marketing purposes. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using MoneyFAQ — the platform is free to use whether or not you provide a phone number.
You can cancel SMS messages at any time. Reply STOP to any MoneyFAQ text message. You may also reply QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or STOP ALL.
After you opt out, we will send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from MoneyFAQ. You can also remove or change your number anytime in your account settings.

Message frequency varies and depends on your account activity and the notifications you have enabled. Some messages, such as verification codes, are sent only when you request them; others, such as security alerts, are sent as needed.
This is a standard-rate messaging program. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. MoneyFAQ does not charge any additional fee for SMS messages beyond what your carrier may charge. Contact your wireless provider for details about your plan.
Our SMS program supports most major U.S. carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Straight Talk.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier's network and factors outside our control, so we cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered or delivered on time. SMS alerts are a convenience and should not be your only way of staying informed — please also check your dashboard and email.
Your privacy matters. MoneyFAQ does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or email addresses with third parties for marketing purposes, and does not share them with affiliates. Your number and email are used only to send MoneyFAQ notifications and to operate your account.
We may disclose information only when legally required (for example, in response to a court order) or where necessary to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our users. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
